Took place between August 29 and September 2 2nd Fair Laranjal Paulista Book and Culture at the Palace of Drovers. A realization of the City Department of Education, Municipal Library “Prof. Luiza Arruda” Context and Library, with the support of the city council.
The fair was directed to students of all local schools as well as teachers and other visitors who attended during the five day exhibition of books, lectures, and various presentations.
Local, state and private schools, day care centers, the Center Saint Vincent de Paul and the Social Project Space Friend, visited the fair. The fair housed more than 1,200 titles and shows with music, dance, theater and poetry. We highlight the participation of schools who were involved in presentations, rescuing the folklore of our region, or emphasizing the importance of reading and culture.
In addition to the presentations and the Fair books, visitors were able to attend lectures by authors such as Silvia Regina Delazari Ferreira and illustrator Patricia Alexandra Scalon de Almeida. The storyteller Sandra Conception Vemin Cheslak of OPET worked during Tuesday with students of the day and the night period. Gave a talk with teachers whose theme was “The importance of children’s literature in school.” Moment of reflection for the teaching staff explores children’s literature in the classroom.
On Thursday, September day 01, the City Health Department made a imperative contribution with a lecture on adolescence and sexuality geared to high school students.
Ending the cycle of lectures, the Nereide Schilaro Santa Rosa author with over 45 published children’s books and winner of the Jabuti Award in 2004, gave an explanation to students about culture and art.
About 4,500 students have passed through the premises of the City Council during the second Book Fair and Culture. The titles that were on display were sold by Library backdrop with part of the proceeds intended to Municipal Library.
