Today, famous people, successful, recognized. Yesterday, just kids! That is the theme of the series Famous Children, published by Editora Callis. Approaching the small with important people in our history and our culture and put them in touch with the legacy of these personalities, through a common point – childhood. Nereide S. Santa Rosa is the author of the titles: Carlos Gomes, the pioneer of classical music in Brazil. Monteiro Lobato, creator of The Yellow Woodpecker Ranch. Villa-Lobos, “Trenzinho Caipira`s” author. Santos Dumont, the father of aviation. And Alfredo Volpi, painter. With her experience of over 30 years as a teacher, 18 in kindergarten and 25 in a pedagogical coordinating group. Nereide describes in an interview for the magazine School Projects Early Childhood Education some curiosities of the life of these children who became adults of success and showed how the works can be fully exploited in the classroom. She has also been a professor of music and fine arts and has over 50 published books, including the series The Art of Seeing (Scipione Publisher), from which she received the Jabuti Award in 2004.
